Vegetarian Cooking Class

Join us for a group cooking class led by Chef Yvonne in our professional kitchen. Over the course of 4 hours enjoy appetizers, coffee and tea while you learn how to prepare and cook vegetarian recipes that are loaded with flavorful, colorful and nutritious ingredients. Our kitchen has created delicious meals full of protein-packed ingredients, then added delectable sauces, a variety of sides and enough "Wow!" that you'll never miss the meat.  Whether you're taking the full vegetarian plunge or just want to mix it up without the meat once a week, these healthy, meatless main dishes will have you coming back for more. Spaces are limited, please register before March 11th.

Chef Yvonne brings together both her experience in the world of cooking as well as her passion for real food to provide you a unique dining experience. A firm believer in the holistic experience of nourishing the body, and with an emphasis on vegetarian dishes, Yvonne's aim is to create meals that are delicious and balanced as well as restorative and nurturing. For those with food sensitivities or allergies, Yvonne is very experienced with vegan, wheat-free, gluten-free and dairy-free meal preparation.

Guests of the Ecology Retreat Centre, whether dining for breakfast, lunch or dinner can always expect an extraordinary taste experience.  Everything is homemade, with an emphasis on using locally sourced, seasonal and wholesome ingredients as much as possible.  We continually strive to bring you food that is good for you and good for the community. 


Our main fare is vegetarian. We can also prepare tailored diets including gluten free and lactose free. If a group prefers meat or fish then that can easily be arranged upon request.
