MEETING SPACES

The Ecology Retreat Centre’s meeting spaces are The Creekside Room and the Lodge Lounge. The Creekside Room is a beautiful, large, light-filled space, while the Lodge Lounge is suited to smaller groups, as a place for evening gatherings or quiet relaxation on a break.

The Creekside Room

The Creekside Room is an approximately 950 square foot space located adjacent to the Dining Hall. Clerestory and picture windows and a cathedral ceiling make this room light-filled and spacious. Its wood floor is perfect for anything from meetings to yoga.

A wood-burning fireplace and plenty of dimmable lighting offer the perfect ambience for evening events too. Two glass doors open to a deck facing trees and the creek, an ideal spot for a scenic break-out space during warmer months.

The Creekside room can fit up to 50 for seated conferences, workshop or dinners, up to 40 for activities requiring more room to move about, or up to 65 for a mix-n-mingle non-seated reception. Groups may access the Dining Hall for their beverage and snack needs or request a set-up in the Creekside Room.

There are currently two washrooms just outside the room, with a third one (accessible) planned for the future.

The Lodge Lounge

The Lodge Lounge is a great place to relax during your retreat breaks, in the evening or possibly a gathering or break-out space for smaller groups.

The Lounge is set up with comfortable sofas and chairs. Extra tables and chairs can be added upon request.

The Ecology Retreat Centre accommodation is comprised of The Lodge, the Bunkhouse and the Leader’s Cabin. Our accommodation rooms are simple and clean.

The Lodge

Lodge - Bedroom

There are 15 bedrooms in the Lodge. Most rooms have 1 double bed and 2 twin beds.

The Lodge

The Lodge has 15 bedrooms, lounge for relaxing, Men’s & Women’s washrooms.

Lodge - Lounge

The Lodge Lounge has sofas and chairs for groups to relax.

The Lodge is the Centre’s main accommodation offering 15 bedrooms, sleeping up to 45 in their own beds. Each bedroom is comfortable and individually heated, keeping guests cozy during Fall and Winter retreats, and has a window opening to cool night breezes during Spring and Summer.

Located just steps from the Leader’s Cabin and Bunkhouse, the Lodge allows groups to keep close and to easily gather in its central Lounge. Furnished with plenty of comfy sofas, and stocked coffee, tea and water self-service area, the approximately 700 foot square lounge is a favourite place for participants to relax or visit with each other during free time. The Lounge also serves as a convenient break-out space, especially for groups using the Meeting Hall.

The Lodge has 15 individually heated bedrooms with 3 beds in each (typically one double bed and two twins) sleeping a total of 45 people. Spacious shared washrooms (separate male and female) with a total of 8 showers and 12 sinks.

The Bunkhouse

Bunkhouse

Bunkhouse has 5 bedrooms with 2 bunkbeds per room. Also includes 2 showers and 2 bathrooms.

The Bunkhouse offers stream-side quarters that can sleep 20 people in 5 rooms with 2 bunkbeds per room. It was recently renovated and now has all new windows as well as upgraded bathrooms and new showers while maintaining its rustic look and feel. It is located a stone’s throw away from the Lodge.

The Leader's Cabin

Leaders Cabin - Bedroom #1

The main bedroom includes one queen bed.

The Leader’s Cabin offers private accommodation for group leaders, facilitators or special guests. Its 2 bedrooms (1st: one queen bed / 2nd: one full and one single bed) can sleep up to 3 persons (5 max.) Furnished with a kitchenette and sitting area, it provides a relaxing space to unwind, or meet one-on-one. The Cabin has a shared full bathroom.

When groups are not using the Leader’s Cabin, it can be rented alone. It is ideal for personal retreats, a small family getaway in nature or a close friends’ get-together away from it all. (The Cabin is most often available weekdays).
